Former England captain Kevin Pietersen had a scary incident on Saturday that saw his flight take a detour. As Iran launched missiles at Israel, Pietersen claimed that his flight had to take a detour and also require refuelling. Sharing a post on social media on Sunday , Pietersen revealed the scary incident he went through. It all seemed to have happened while the England great was due to fly to Mumbai for Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
"Well that's a first. Our plane last night had to go back and add another big load of fuel cos we had to reroute to avoid the missiles from Iran. MADNESS!!!! Anyway, in Mumbai and at Wankhede later. One of my favourite cricket grounds!," Pietersen wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
